My sincere condolences to all the family of James Whitehead. I have been a friend of Jewel Hairston for many years. Jewel has been James' friend, companion, caretaker, significant other for many years. Jewel has a heart of gold and is a true friend that is hard to find these days. Jewel truly cared for James and enjoyed being with him, always spending her time going to the VA hospital, the Nursing Care in Clearwater, FL every day until his passing. Of course, Jewel will miss James dearly as he has been a special part of her life. I cannot express how truly caring and special Jewel has been to me since we met, as I have been alone in FL for 17 years, and she always took the time to call and chat with me. My prayers are for her and all of James' family as they grieve the loss of a wonderful man. Sincerely, Diane Borino, New Port Richey, FL
