The staff was warm and helpful including realizing my daughter has special needs, at which time they offered to bring my car to the door, helped us in and made sure both of us were secure.
The facilities were clean and peaceful and comfortable.
I commented to the staff about the really nice treatment we received.

They tried to sell us flowers at the funeral home and we were shocked with price. We went next door to avas new city florist and paid less then half as much as they were charging. The casket and all the other charges are very steep. Michael Higgins is long gone and this place is owned by a large nationwide operator-a different feel then a family operated place.

Comment on Michael J Higgins Funeral Svc - New City, NY written by: Jess E. 01/22/2011 9:19PM This funeral home is a joke, First off they dressed my grandmother in the wrong clothes and jewlery and then percided to make excusses for why this happened. The hole funeral staff is cold and had an arogent non compassionate attitude about them. I would not recommend this funeral home if you want to make your last moments with your loved one special.
