Comment on Costner Funeral Home - Gastonia, NC written by: Jackie B. 05/22/2013 7:00PM Alex is a good friend of mine. He worked for my dad for many years and was like a member of our family. All the grandchildren really loved Alex, especially my son Matt Jordan (from a previous marriage). Alex always had Thanksgiving dinner, Christmas dinner and even any time he was working with my dad close to the house they came home for dinner. We all loved Alex. He was a very good man and a good Christian. I never heard him complain of anything, he was always smiling and greeting everyone. If he was every sick or not feeling well, you would never know it. I am sure he will be missed by his family and friends. My our Heavenly Father bless the family and comfort you as only He can. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. I went by to view him this afternoon and he looked wonderful. He looked like he was only in his 40's. He was a very handsom gentleman.

Alex was a very good man and a good Christian. He was always smiling and greeting everyone. He never acted like he was upset or not feeling well.
He worked for my dad for many years and was like one of the family. We all loved him especially the grandchildren. My son Matt especially loved him he would worry him to death about his hat so Alex would let him wear it for a while. Alex always ate Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner with us and during the week if he was working near the house. Daddy could not do anything without Alex. I am sure the family and all his friends will miss him. I went by the funeral home this afternoon to view him and he looked wonderrful. He was a very handsome man and he looked so young. I will miss him and all my family. God bless you all.
